Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was completed on 12/04/2019. There were 17 children, ages 3 years-5 years, 2 staff members providing direct care and one support staff present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed 5 children's records, the on-site staff record requirements for 2 staff members and 1 medication during the inspection. The children were observed in the following activities: arriving to the program via parent drop-off, during circle time/learning activities during morning snack, participating in music and movement and brushing teeth. Proper hand washing, table sanitizing and medication administration procedures were also observed. The inspector reviewed the emergency preparedness plans, the emergency supplies, the injury prevention plan and 3 accident reports during the inspection. The inspector discussed the renewal process with the staff. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-F
Description: Based on observations and discussion with the staff, the facility failed to ensure that when centers choose to provide meals or snacks, the menu listing foods to be served for meals and snacks during the current one-week period shall be posted in a location conspicuous to parents.

Evidence: There was not a current one-week snack menu posted during the inspection. Staff #1 stated that the current menu has not been received.

Plan of Correction: The staff will email the Nutrition Manager and request a menu today.
