Discussed all with director that all background checks are good for 5 years, injury records will be asked to be reviewed during inspections and outside time.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on January 10, 2020 from approximately 7:20 am-9:00 am. There were 17 children and 3 staff present at the center. Children were observed being dropped off , playing games with strings and participating in group activity. Three staff records and five children's records were reviewed during the inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation and inspection of the facility, the licensee did not ensure that hazardous substances shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
1. In the classroom 101, there was hand sanitizer in unlocked cabinet that children had access to.
2. In the boys and girls bathroom there was soap that had all items were labeled keep out of reach of children and warning or caution.Plan of Correction: While inspector was present the director spoke to the church representative about keeping the cabinets locked. Previously there was locks but due to other activities at the church the locks were cut off. A safety lock will be bought. The morning opener will check all areas to make sure there are no hazardous substances accessible to children. Soap will be checked to make sure there are not two warning labels.
