An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today February 10, 2020 to determine the facility's compliance with licensing standards. The inspection was initiated at 11:00 am and concluded at 1:45 pm. Upon the inspectors arrival children in the three year old group were observed building the letter "F" and practicing writing the letter with chalk. The children also worked on a valentine's day art project gluing hearts and coloring . The four year old group listened to a story and had center time with the train tracks/trains and magnetic dress up dolls. Later children had lunch and then had time on the playground. Upon returning to the classroom children had bathroom breaks, washed their hands and prepared for nap. Children provide their own lunch which were labeled with names and today's date and the center provides snacks. Staff and children interactions were positive. The main classroom, rest rooms, indoor play room and hallway were inspected. The classrooms are equipped with age and stage appropriate materials for literacy, art, fine and gross motor skills and creative play. The facility had the required information posted to include; license, last inspection notice, emergency numbers, daily schedule, evacuation maps and various parent information. The first aide kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. The inspector interacted with staff and children in care.
