An announced monitoring inspection was conducted on Thursday, February 13, 2020 to review licensing standards related to staff records. The inspection was completed at the corporate office from 9:00 AM to 1:20 PM. Seven staff records were reviewed.
A member of management was available for the inspection and was present at the exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the licensee. Violations were cited and can be found in the violation notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-A Description: Based on a review of staff records and an interview, the facility did not ensure staff received all required training by the end of their first day of assuming job responsibilities.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1 (date of hire 08/16/2019) and staff #2 (date of hire 01/14/2020) did not have documentation of orientation related to the center's playground safety procedures, recognizing child abuse and neglect and the legal requirements for reporting suspected child abuse, and confidential treatment of personal information about children in care and their families, by the first day of assuming job responsibilities.
2. Members of management stated that the staff receive onboarding on their first date of employment, but the onboarding does not include these three training topics.Plan of Correction: Staff will be given this information during onboarding process.
