An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 03/09/2020 from 11:55 am to 1:25 pm. A formal observation was completed. The children were observed reading books, singing songs, playing with table top toys, and transitioning to naptime. Lunch consisted of baked spaghetti with tossed salad, garlic bread, assorted fruit, and milk. The lunch menu was posted. Interviews were held with staff throughout the inspection, and the inspector interacted with children in each classroom when appropriate. All areas utilized by children were inspected.
Records were reviewed for five children. The staff records are kept off site and will be checked at a later date. The staff health and emergency contact information was reviewed.
Medication is being administered and was reviewed. The center?s injury prevention plan was updated on 08/01/2019.
The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected.

Census: There were 12 children and two staff in attendance during the inspection.
There were no repeat violations found during the inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review and interview, the center did not ensure that one of five children's records had documentation of viewing proof of the child's identity and age.
Evidence:
