This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/29/2020 and concluded on 06/98/2020. The program director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 23 children and 6 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed 3 children's records and 3 staff records during the inspection to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-F Description: Based on discussion with staff, the facility failed to ensure that when centers choose to provide meals or snacks, a menu listing foods to be served for meals and snacks during the current one-week period shall be posted in a location conspicuous to parents or given to parents.
Evidence: The posted menu was dated June 1-5; there was not a menu posted for the current one-week period.Plan of Correction: A menu will be obtained and posted.
