This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on May 22, 2020 and concluded on June 05, 2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were zero children present and one staff. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-580-F Description: Based on record review and discussion with the staff, the vendor failed to ensure that all staff who work directly with children must complete CPR and first aid training within the first 90 days of employment.
Evidence:
The record for Staff #2 indicated that the date of hire was 02/04/2019 and the date for CPR and first aid certification was 10/03/2019.Plan of Correction: Staff have now completed CPR. We will remind future staff they have only 90 days to complete.
