This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 6/23/2020 and concluded on 6/23/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children present and no staff present. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-3 Description: Based on staff record review, there is no documentation on file to verify that Child Abuse and Neglect results were obtained for an employee that has resided outside the state of Virginia within the last 5 years.
Evidence:
Staff#1 (DOH: 08/01/2019) has resided outside the state of Virginia within the last 5 years, their record did not have documentation that out-of-state child abuse and neglect results were obtained within 45 days of employment.Plan of Correction: We are going to try to locate the out of state search or resubmit a new request today.
