This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring/renewal inspection was initiated on 07/19/2020 and concluded on 07/22/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 25 children present and 7 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-A Description: Based on a record review, staff #1, hired 02/18/2020 did not submit a tuberculosis screening within 21 days of employment or not older than 1 year. The tuberculosis screening provided by the director was date 12/14/18. Plan of Correction: The following plan of correction was provided by the director during the exit interview:
This was an oversight. Staff #1 will be sent for a TB screening this week.
