This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was conducted on July 20, 2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children present and one staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed two children records and two staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care Programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-140-A Description: Based on a review of children's records, the center failed to obtain documentation of a physical examination within 30 days after the first day of attendance.
Evidence:
1. Child #2's physical was dated 08/19/2019. First date of attendance for Child #2 was 06/08/2019.
2. Staff verified the date on the physical and the date of the child's first day of attendence.Plan of Correction: Administration will put in place a tracking system to assist with tracking required paperwork.
