This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 07/30/2020 and concluded on 08/04/2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 16 children present and 3 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2 Description: Based on staff record reviews, the center failed to obtain central registry findings within 30 days of employment.
Evidence:
1. The inspector reviewed three staff records. All three records were missing the results of a central registry finding and all three staff have been employed for more than 30 days. Staff #1's date of employment was 06/14/2020, staff #2's date of employment was 06/18/2020 and staff #3's date of employment was 06/23/2020.Plan of Correction: Make sure all central registry documents are mailed in within 7 days of hiring new employee. Call office if results not in within 30 days and document in files.
