This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated and concluded on December 3, 2020. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 26 children present with three staff at the onset of the inspection. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with subsidy regulations, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-510-B Description: Based on observation and interview the vendor failed to ensure that for each group of children, the vendor will maintain a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.
Evidence:
1 - When asked to review the attendance record for today the site director stated that she could only provide a list on the computer.
2 - When asked to show the list of children present at that site the site director stated that she was unable to provide any list other than the list of all children present across the entire program including all sites.Plan of Correction: Not available online.
