This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 01/25/2021 and concluded on 01/29/2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children present and two staff. The inspector emailed the director/provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed two children?s records and two staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-B-3 Description: Based on the review of a board officer's files, the facility failed to obtain all required background checks.
Evidence:
There is no central registry clearance on file for board officer #1.Plan of Correction: The central registry clearance form has been completed and will be submitted to the central registry office for processing.
