The inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An initial inspection was initiated on 02/10/2021 by remote application. Administration conducted a virtual tour of the program. the physical plant, areas and equipment were observed and reviewed. Policies and procedures related to child enrollment, staff responsibilities, emergency preparedness planning, traing, drills and supplies were also reviewed, Operational responsibilities were discussed at length to ensure staff on sight are qualified.
The information gathered durning the inspection determined areas of non0compliance with applicable standards or law.
Violations were issued on the violation notice.
The inspector has reviewed with administration COVID 19 Essential Guidance for Child Care Programs

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-B-3 Description: Based on review of Board Officer's records, the applicant did not authorize the center to obtain the child abuse and neglect resgistry search for any state in which the agent has resided in the preceding 5 years.
Evidence: Agent #1 currently ressides in Maryland. and as of the date of 02/10/2021) initial inspection , no results of the child abuse and neglect registry search from that state were requested/ recieved.Plan of Correction: Center management requested and will update once received.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-B-4 Description: Based on review of Board Officer records, the applicant did not authorize the center to obtain a copy of the results of a criminal history record check and sex offender registry check from any state in which the agent has resided in the preceding five years.
Evidence : Agent #1 currently resides in Maryland and at the time of the initial inspection ( 02/10/2021) no Criminal History record check and Sex offender registry check results had been obtained.Plan of Correction: Center managemnt sent request 02/09/2021 waiting on results.
