This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 02/08/21 and concluded on 03/08/21. The in-charge person was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 11 children present and three staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed two children?s records and two staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-A Description: Based on the review of two staff files, the facility failed to ensure that all staff complete all repeat required background checks.
Evidence:
1. There is no repeat central registry clearance on file for staff #1. The last form on file is dated 7/27/15.Plan of Correction: The need for a repeat clearance was overlooked during a period of teleworking. A new form will be completed and mailed today.
