This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 03/05/2021 and concluded on 03/08/2021. The facility representative was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 8 children present and 2 staff. The inspector emailed the representative a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-260-A Description: Based on documentation review, the center did not provide to the licensing representative an annual fire inspection report from the appropriate fire official having jurisdiction.
Evidence:
1) Available for review on the date of inspection was a Fire Permit with valid dates of 05/31/2019-03/01/2020.Plan of Correction: The center shall follow up with the local Fire Marshall to request a new inspection ASAP.
