This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An unannounced renewal inspection was initiated on June 15, 2021 and concluded on June 18, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection at 9:30 a.m. A video inspection was conducted beginning at 10:15 a.m. There were 78 children present, ages 3 months through 11 years old under the care and supervision of 14 staff. Children were observed participating in lessons, circle time, outdoor play and engaged in a variety of activities during the inspection. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed four children?s records and seven staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Emergency drills were up to date, the monthly menu and staff training hours were reviewed.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
