An announced initial inspection was conducted on-site on January 25, 2022. The inspector was on-site from 10:08am-11:12am. The owner/director and a staff member were present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. The owner/director's record record was reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measures. Please do not use staff names; list staff by positions only.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-B Description: Based on observation and interview, the center did not ensure that diapers shall be disposed in a leak-proof or plastic lined storage system that is foot-operated or used in such a way that neither the staff member's hand nor soiled diaper touches an exterior surface during disposal.
Evidence: There was no leak-proof or plastic lined storage system that is foot-operated observed in the classroom where diapering occurs. Administration acknowledged the center did not have one.Plan of Correction: I have corrected this violation. I went and purchased a foot-operated trash can.
