Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-A Description: Based on staff and witness interviews on October 27, 2021, the center did not ensure that staff wash their hands with soap and running water before helping a child use the toilet or a diaper change.
Evidence: 1. Staff 1 stated she puts gloves on prior to changing a diaper and washes hands after the diaper change.
2. Staff 2 stated she puts gloves on prior to changing a diaper and washes hands after the diaper change.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-B Description: Based on interviews on October 27, 2021, the center did not ensure the diapering surface shall be cleaned and sanitized after each use.
Evidence: 1. Staff 1 stated the diapering table is sprayed with bleach water and then wiped after 10 seconds.
2. Staff 2 stated the diapering table is sprayed with bleach water and then wiped after 1 minute.
3. Staff 3 stated the diapering table is sprayed with bleach water and then wiped immediately.
