Today we discussed options for making Child Food Allergy lists easily accessible to classroom staff while also ensuring that they are kept confidentially.
Today we reviewed and discussed the different full and part time enrollments and discussed the required allotted time for outdoor play, based on the hours that the program operates (one hour per day if the program operates more than 5 hours per day or session; thirty minutes per day or session if the center operates between three and five hours per day or session).

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 5/3/2022 and concluded on 5/4/2022. A tour of the facility including outdoor play areas was conducted. There were 61 children present, ranging in ages from infant to 5 years old, with 18 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A Description: Based on a review of records and interview, the licensee did not maintain documentation of viewing proof of the child's identity and age for all children enrolled in the program.
Evidence:
Five children's records were reviewed.
The record for child #5 did not contain documentation of viewing proof of the child's identity and age.
The administrative staff stated that they were unable to locate this documentation during the inspection.Plan of Correction: The administrative staff stated that this was an oversight and that documentation of child #5's identity and age will be obtained by the end of next week and placed in the child's record.
