New emergency plan requirements and required written procedures regarding SIDS and safe sleep practices.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 2:00pm-3:30pm. There were 102 children (infants-5yrs.) directly supervised by 15 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, napping, playing outside and eating snack. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized.

Description: Based on observation and interview, the center was not equipped with at least one carbon monoxide detector during the inspection.

Evidence:
A carbon monoxide detector was not available for review during the inspection.

Plan of Correction: Purchased and fitted carbon monoxide detectors in two hallways.
