Prevention of head trauma procedures, emergency plan requirements, continuity of care policy and group size requirements.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection of the Extended Day Program was conducted today from 4:30pm-5:40pm. There were 32 children (school-age) directly supervised by 3 staff. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 3 children?s records, medications, emergency drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed playing outdoors and reading books. There was an adequate supply of materials for the children. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice.

Description: Based on review of emergency drills, evacuation drills were not practiced monthly.

Evidence:
Emergency evacuation drills were not documented for the months of September 2021, October 2021, February 2022 and April 2022.

Plan of Correction: "Use chart provided by licencing inspector to keep track of which emergency drills have been completed and which need to be completed in the required timeframe."
