An unannounced Renewal Inspection was conducted on 4/21/2022. The Licensing Inspector arrived at 2:15 PM & the inspection concluded at 4:05 PM. There were a total of 60 children ages 3 months to 5 years old under the care of 16 staff members present during today?s inspection. The Inspector reviewed 5 children?s records, 1 child medication record and 5 staff records during today's inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observations, the Licensee failed to ensure areas and equipment of the center are maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

In the 2 year old Classroom, Licensing Inspector observed
A portable radio, plugged into an electrical outlet and stored on a shelf. The electrical cord was dangling giving the children in care direct access to it; creating a hazard. In the Toddler EHS Classroom, Licensing Inspector observed multiple electrical outlets that were not protected with protective covers.
