An unannounced Renewal Inspection was initiated on September 26, 2022 and concluded on September 28, 2022. There were 14 school age children under the direct care and guiding of 2 staff members. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 2 staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-70 Description: Based on inspection, the Licensee failed to keep required staff information at the center.
EVIDENCE:
Licensing Inspector review 2 staff records. Staff information (name, address, verification of age, job title, date of employment and name, address and telephone number of a person to be notified in an emergency) required to be kept at the center were unavailable.Plan of Correction: Program Director will ensure all required staff emergency information is kept at the center.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-G Description: Based on inspection, the Licensee failed to maintain documentation of emergency evacuation, shelter-in-place and lockdown drills to include identity of the person conducting the drill, the date & time of the drill, the method used for notification of the drill, the number of staff participating, the number of children participating, any special conditions simulated, the time it took to complete the drill, problems encountered & weather conditions.

Documentation of the center's emergency drills, evacuation, shelter-in-place & lock-down drills did note, did not include identity of the person conducting the drill, method of notification used, the number of staff present, any special conditions, weather conditions and any problems encountered.Plan of Correction: Director will update the emergency drill form to ensure all required information is documented.
