An unannounced on-site monitoring inspection was conducted on 9/28/2022. There were 1 child, and 1 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector observed the following: arrival and free choice activities. A total of 5 children?s records were reviewed.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-340-C Description: Based on interviews with staff, the center failed to ensure that there were two staff members present, or a staff person, or volunteer that has direct means of communications.
Evidence:
1. The staff person stated that the second staff person is normally present, but on the day of the inspection she was absent. The school janitor was present but the staff person did not have direct means of communication.Plan of Correction: The administration will ensure that a second person is present or direct means of communication will be established with school personal.
