Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-380-A-1
Description: Based on observation and interview, the center failed to ensure that toddlers and preschoolers have outdoor activity for at least one hour per day. Evidence: There is no designated outdoor play area at the center. When asked how the toddlers and preschoolers get outdoor activity, the Director stated that she takes them to the local park to play in her personal vehicle but does not do so every day. The Director stated that the personal vehicle can hold 5 children. On the day of the visit there were 7 toddlers and preschoolers.

Plan of Correction: Per the center "children will have outside play every day that weather is permitting. Children will be transported on the daycare bus to ensure there is enough room for everyone."
