An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 to determine the center?s compliance with licensing standards. The inspection begin at 10:35 AM and concluded at 12:45 PM. Today?s census for today?s inspection included 25 children with 8 caregivers supervising. During the tour, the inspector observed the children playing on the playground, napping, and playing with various play materials. All areas used for the childcare were inspected. The classrooms are equipped with age and stage-appropriate materials. The center's first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. The required postings were inspected and found to be incompliance. Liability insurance, health inspection, and drills were all in compliance. Medications and authorizations were reviewed. There are staff on site with current First Aid, CPR, MAT and DHO training. There were five children's and five staff records reviewed. There were violations cited during this inspection.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-130-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not obtain documentation of a physical exam for children within one month of attendance. Evidence: Child #3 first date of attendance was 9/13/2022 and their record did not contain a physical exam. Child #5 first date of attendance was 9/13/2022 and their record did not contain a physical exam. Plan of Correction: Physicals will be placed in student files onsite.
Standard #: 8VAC20-820-120-E-2 Description: Based on observation and interview, the center failed to post the most recent inspection of the facility. Evidence: 1. The inspection posted in the hall on the bulletin board was dated 1/7/20. The most recent inspection was dated 5/5/22. 2. The director verified the most current inspection was not posted. Plan of Correction: Inspection will be posted.
