Discussed the following:
CPR and First aid requirement requires staff that are left alone with children need to have a current certification in CPR and First Aid. CPR and First Aid orientation needs to be completed with in 30days of hire. Va Preservice and Orientation training hours do not count towards annual training and
program leader qualifications. Menu being posted with the weekly dates. Discussed employment dates determining when staff starts in program when hired in multiple departments that are license.

An unannounced monitoring was conducted on October 28, 2022 from approximately 2:00pm- 3:30pm. There were 20 children present upon arrival with 3 staff members. Additional administrative staff were present. Children were observed napping and eating snack. Four staff records and five children's records reviewed . Licensing Inspector reviewed indoor areas, supervision, activities, equipment, emergency evacuation and sheltering-in-place drill documentation, emergency procedures and required posting.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-240-A Description: Based on record review and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure staff completed Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course shall be completed within 90 calendar days of employment.
Evidence:
Staff #1 employment date 06/16/2022 did not have documentation of completion of Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation with in 90 calendar days of employment.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
