A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was completed. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-B Description: Based on record review, all staff who work directly with children had not completed the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff within 90 days.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1 was hired 05/23/22 and had not completed the Preservice training.Plan of Correction: Staff will complete the required training.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-D-1 Description: based on record review, staff did not have current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care within 90 days of hire.
Evidence:
1. Staff #5 was hired 05/23/22 and had not completed CPR certification. Staff #7 was hired 02/15/2022 and had not completed CPR.Plan of Correction: Staff will get the certification required as soon as possible.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-D-2 Description: Based on record review, staff failed to have current certification in first aid appropriate to the ages of children in care. 1. Staff #5 was hired 05/23/22 and had not completed first aid certification. Staff #7 was hired 02/15/2022 and had not completed first aid. Plan of Correction: Staff will get the certification as soon as possible.
