A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted on November 21, 2022 from 10:15am to approximately 12:40pm. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental Inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program. The violation was discussed with the owner of at the exit interview.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-D-1 Description: Based on record review and interview, it was determined that the vendor did not ensure that within 90 days of the date of employment or 90 days from subsidy vendor approval that staff have a current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care.
Evidence:
1. Staff #2, (date of hire: 7/20/2022) does not have a current CPR certification appropriate to the ages of children in care.
2. Staff #1 confirmed Staff #2 does not have a current CPR certification.Plan of Correction: The vendor responded with the following: Staff #2 will enroll in a face to face CPR class and put a copy of their certification in their record.
