Licensing inspector discussed emergency drills being kept for a year with the lead teacher.

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 12:00pm-1:00pm. There were 15 children in the direct care and supervision of 3 staff. A sample of 3 children?s records, and 3 staff records were reviewed. The children were observed playing, singing, learning and preparing for lunch. Zero new staff have been hired since the last inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the head teacher. Evidence:
1) The record of Child A was missing the father's employer phone number.
2) The record of Child B was missing the address of one emergency contact.Plan of Correction: The parents will correct the files today.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation, Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials were not kept in a locked place.
Evidence:
Cleaning wipes were located on top of the file cabinet.Plan of Correction: Corrected during the inspection.
