An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on 12/28/2022 from 10:25 am - 12:30 pm. At the time of entrance there were 6 school age children in care with 2 staff.
A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-D-1 Description: Based on record review, the vendor failed to ensure that all staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days of the date of employment current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care. The training shall include an in-person competency demonstration.
Evidence:
1. The CPR certification completed by staff 1 lacked an in-person competency demonstration.
a. The certificate on file indicated that the in-person skills demonstration had not been completed.
b. Staff 1 has been employed more than 90 days according to written information on file.Plan of Correction: A CPR class with an in-person skills demonstration will be obtained for staff 1.
