An announced inspection was completed on 02/28/2023 in response to a planned relocation of the licensed program. Any areas of noncompliance are documented in the violation

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure hazordous substnaces kept in locked place using a safe locking method.
Evidence:
In the infant/toddler rooms there was high shelves with hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes and a unlocked cabinet with handsanitizer and disinfectant wipes. In the building multiple areas there was handsanitizer.
All hazordous substances with two warning labels will need to be in a locked place.Plan of Correction: Will have all hazordous substances locked up during operating hours.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-380-A Description: Based on observation and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure there was a daily scheudle posted.
Evidence: The center had a daily schedule but not posted . Confirmed by staff.Plan of Correction: Center has a daily scheudle document but it was not posted. Staff will have it posted in the building.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-540-E Description: Based on observation and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure there was a working battery operated radio .
Evidence:
The new radio the center had was not working. Staff stated they will be returning the radio and will have it replaced.Plan of Correction: Staff will have the radio replaced.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-C Description: Based on observation and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure there was emergency evacuation and shelter-in-place procedures or maps shall be posted in a location conspicuous to staff and children on each floor of each building.
Evidence:
Shelter- in -Place procedures or map was not posted. Confirmed by staff.Plan of Correction: The center will add another evacuation exit and shelter in place designated area on the map that is posted in the building.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-I Description: Based on observation and staff interview, the licensee did note ensure there was a 911 or local dial number for police, fire and emergency medical services and the number of the regional poison control center shall be posted in a visible place at each telephone.
Evidence:
Staff confirmed the emergency numbers were not posted. But the center had a document to post with the emergency numbers.Plan of Correction: The center will post all emergency phone numbers . The emergency numbers will posted with the emergency prepardness plan.
