A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on 3/28/2023 and concluded on 3/28/2023. There were 44 children present with 13 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-F Description: Based on a review of staff records, staff have not completed the annual health and safety update course.
Evidence: Several staff have not completed the 3 hour annual health and safety update course. Staff #1 date of hire 1/6/2020 has not completed the 3 hour annual health and safety update.
Staff #2, date of hire 10/12/2020 has not completed the 3 hour annual health and safety update.
Staff #3, date of hire 11/1/2021 has not completed the 3 hour annual health and safety update.Plan of Correction: All staff will complete the annual 3 hour health and safety update a year from their last 3 hour training.
