8VAC20-790 SUBSIDY REGULATIONS

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on-site March 30, 2023. There were 17 children present with 3 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measures. Please do not use staff names; list staff by positions only.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-F Description: Based on a review of records on March 30, 2023, the vendor did not ensure that each staff complete the Virginia Annual Health and Safety Update Training annually as required.
Evidence: The record of staff #3, hired 4/20/21, did not contain documentation of the 2022 Health and Safety update training.Plan of Correction: Remind staff to do the annual update yearly. For those who have not done 2022, make sure 2023 is done immediately.
