The inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection on April 13, 2023 to determine the center?s compliance with licensing standards. The inspection began at approximately 10:00AM and concluded at 12:10PM. There were 25 children present, with 9 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventive measure(s).

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-40-M Description: Based on observation, the center did not maintain, in a way that is accessible to all caregivers, a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions. This list shall be dated and kept confidential.
Evidence:

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: Based on observation it was determined the center did not ensure that all areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, were maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
Evidence:

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-290-A-3 Description: Based on observation, the center failed to have protective covers on electrical outlets in areas used by preschool age or younger children.
Evidence:
1. The Preschool classroom (Ages 3years ? 5 years) had one outlet that was not covered with an outlet cover located on the wall near the door within reach of children.
