Technical Assistance:
Discussed requirements for written procedures for the prevention of shaken baby syndrome should include: methods of coping with crying babies, safe sleeping practices, and sudden infant death syndrome awareness.

Discussed that Tuberculosis screenings must be completed prior to hire and can be no more than 30 days old.

Discussed changes made to orientation requirements that went into effect 10/13/2021.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 8:30am-10:00am. There were 20 children directly supervised by 4 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 7 children?s records, , evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. No medications were on site today. Children were observed participating in group play and infants were observed preparing for breakfast.. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for the children in care. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Description: Based on observation, a record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs was not kept.
Evidence:
On he date of inspection three classrooms were observed to not have the attendance sheets marked with the children who were present.

Description: Based on record review, one staff was not oriented on recognizing child abuse and neglect and the legal requirements for reporting suspected abuse and neglect.

Description: Based on record review, staff did not complete a minimum of sixteen hours of annual training.
Evidence:
