Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 4/19/2023 from 12pm to 12:04pm. There were 72 (3-5yrs) directly supervised by 11 staff. The physical plant, 6 staff records, 5 children?s records, children's medications and medication authorization records, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, listening to stories, playing outside, eating lunch, and preparing for and taking naps. Hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was a sufficient supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Description: Based on observation, the facility did not ensure that cosmetics, medications , or other harmful agents shall not be stored in areas, purses or pockets that are accessible to children.
Evidence: observed in room C4 a staff purse accessible to children on a shelf, protected by a curtain, and identified through staff that there were vitamins kept in her purse.
