Provided consultation on standard:
1) 270B: Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Bins that are closed are not locked.
2) 370 Daily activities for infants:
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that all infants sleep alone, on their backs in a crib to reduce the risk of SUID. While standard 370 states that an infant who falls asleep in a play space may remain in that space if comfortable and safe, the crib is a safer place for an infant to sleep.
3) 500: handwashing is required for all children after meals including infants after they drink a bottle; a nonabsorbent surface is required to be used when diapering children under three years of age. If a pullup is taken off and thrown away, it is considered a "dirty diaper."

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 9:45 - 11:45 am with staff. There were 83 children, ranging from six months to six years of age, present with 13 staff supervising. Infant care was observed, and older children were observed playing outside on the playground, engaged in free play in centers, participating in circle time activities and creating seasonal arts and crafts projects. Five child records, five staff records, ten medications and authorization forms were reviewed along with the emergency drill log, daily attendance, written allergy list, menu, and required posted information.
