Technical Assistance:
Playground staffing was discussed in that, as the playgrounds are not directly adjacent to the building, at least two staff must be on the playground with the children at all times.

Documentation of the required 16 hours of annual training for each member was also discussed.

Comments:
A monitoring/renewal/complaint inspection was conducted on05/18/2023 . There were twenty-two children present with 4 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Violations were reviewed with the school administrator during the exit interview.

Description: Based upon review of staff records and staff interview, the facility has not ensured that staff have completed orientation training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) within 30 days of the first day of employment.
Evidence:
1. The record provided for staff 4, hired on 1/30/2023, did not include documentation that staff 4 completed training in first aid and CPR.
2. Staff 1 confirmed that staff 4 had not obtained first aid/CPR orientation training.

2. Staff 1 acknowledged that the documentation of the orientation training for staff 3 and staff 4 did not include the above listed required documentation.
