An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted 5/2/2023 from 12:05pm-1:00pm. There were 12 children directly supervised by 2 staff. The physical plant, programming, menus, 3 staff records, 5 children?s records, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were reportedly no medications on site at the time of inspection. Children were observed dancing, playing games, and eating lunch. Positive interactions between children and staff were observed during this inspection. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials for the children. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-530-C Description: Based on record review and staff interview, the center did not ensure there is at least two staff members with current CPR and First Aid certification present during the center's hours of operation and wherever children are in care.
