Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-B Description: Based on observation, the licensee did not ensure diapering area was a nonabsorbent surface for diapering or changing; and he diapering surface shall be used only for diapering.
Evidence: In classroom 5, their was one tear on the diapering surface. In classroom 10, there was a two bags full of clothing on the diapering surface in the bathroom. In Classroom 8, there was mats laying on top of the diapering surface. In classroom 7, there was plastic green bucket on top of the mats.Plan of Correction: A new diaper surface will be ordered.
An email, message in procare and it will be added in the newsletter to all staff about the diaper surface being used for changing diapers and cleaning children only.
