A renewal inspection was conducted on 09/20/2023. A tour of the facility was conducted, in addition to a record review and interviews with staff. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure hazardous substances were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
In the first classroom the supply cabinet was unlocked and it contained a bottle of disinfectant spray.Plan of Correction: The owner will remind all staff that all chemicals are to be stored in a locked place.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-570-C Description: Based on observation and interview the center did not have a record of each child on formula that contained the brand of formula and feeding schedule for each.
Evidence:
The infant room did not have documentation of the formula brands and feeding schedules of each child. Staff stated the room does not keep a record, rather the formula is on the countertops at all times and is labeled with each child's namePlan of Correction: The owner will ensure that in addition to the labels on the infant formula there will be a record of formula each infant takes and their schedule.
