Discussed Health Department sanitation inspection vs food service inspection.
- Comments:

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 9/26/2023 and concluded on 9/27/2023. There were 15 children present with 4 staff supervising. The children were observed during teacher led activities and engaged in self-play at various centers. A total of 5 child records and 4 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 9:40 am and concluded at 10:50 am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-240-A Description: Based on record review and staff interview the center did not ensure the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course shall be completed within 90 calendar days of employment.
Evidence: The director confirmed that Staff #4 (date of hire 2/7/2022) had not completed the preservice trainingPlan of Correction: The training has been completed.
