Comments:

The inspection findings have been updated as a result of a first step review completed on 10/30/23. A complaint inspection was initiated on October 16, 2023 and concluded on October 19, 2023. A complaint was received by the department regarding allegations in the area of administration and supervision. The inspector reviewed compliance in administration, school policies and procedures, and child and staff records. The evidence gathered during the investigation supports the allegation of non-compliance with standards or law; therefore, the complaint is determined to be valid. Description:	Based on interviews, the center did not ensure when staff are supervising children, they shall ensure their care and protection. Evidence: 1. It was determined the staff released Child #1 to an unidentified person at dismissal. The staff did not ask for identification or the person's name to verify the person was authorized to pick up the child.
Plan of Correction:	"In this instance, we believe that a reasonable person would be confident that this was the correct person who had been sent by the parent to pick up child. The child was never in any danger and was not left unprotected. We did exactly what the parent asked of us. In the future, we will review policies and ensure they are in line with Childcare Licensing code."
