An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 11/13/2023 from 10:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There were 29 children ages 3 years through 5 years old under the supervision of 4 staff. Transition time and naptime was observed. Classroom, the playground, supplies, materials were observed.
Emergency drills were reviewed and up to date. Five children?s records, four staff records and four board officer files were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation, not all potentially hazardous materials were maintained in a locked place. In the kitchen area, there is no door and inside a bottom cabinet labeled `dishwasher cleaning supplies? there were six large bottles of cleaning agents that included danger and keep out of reach of children on the label. Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that all nap cots were equipped with a top and bottom cover. Evidence: In the three and four year old classroom, the nap cots were not equipped with a bottom sheet or linen.
