Technical Assistance:

Discussion with staff on tummy time and the record keeping of time. Discussion of the time frame of background checks for both in and out of state status. Discussion of training records and the keeping of such documentation on an annual basis.

Comments:

This monitoring inspection was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 01/18/2024, between the hours of 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. There were 111 children present, ranging from infant to preschool-age, with 21 classroom staff supervising; across 11 separate rooms. The children were engaged in the following: centers within their classroom, art, crafts, games, learning, infant feeding, diapering, bathroom breaks, hand washing, music, song, and other organized activities. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; medications (3); special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 15 children records, and 15 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined that there were (2) non-compliances with the applicable standards. Description:	Based on observation, an area within a center classroom was not maintained in a safe condition. Evidence - 1. On the date of inspection (01/18/2024), a wall was observed damaged within the Preschool 1 classroom. 2. Due to the storage of cots against the wall, the wall's surface has been damaged to include the chipping of paint that has now fallen to the floor.
Plan of Correction:	Maintenance will be contact to address this area. All other areas (where cots are stored) of the center will also be reviewed in case of possible similar damage.

Description:	Based on observation, 6 of 11 refrigerated bottles were not labeled correctly. Evidence - 1. On the date of inspection (01/18/2024), within the Younger Infant room, 6 of 11 refrigerated bottles were labeled with the child's name, but did not include the date. 2. This was confirmed by classroom staff on the date of inspection.
