A monitoring inspection was initiated on 1/26/2024 and concluded on 1/26/2024. There were 27 children present with six staff supervising and two directors present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of eight child records and six staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 11:30 am and concluded at 1:55 pm.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-190-A-4-b Description: Based on review of records the center failed to ensure that a program director has a child development credential that meets requirements.
Evidence:
Staff #6 is acting program director that does not have the educational requirements to be in this role.Plan of Correction: During the inspection the director enrolled the staff into a CDA program to assist staff in meeting the standards.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-210-A-4 Description: Based on record reviews and interviews the center failed to ensure that program leaders have six months of supervised programmatic experience.
Evidence:
Staff #3 was in a program leader (lead teacher) role during the inspection. Staff #3 has a hire date of 10/30/23.Plan of Correction: The director will ensure that all staff meet requirements to be in the positions they are in.
