8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

Comments:
An unannounced Unlicensed Subsidy Health and Safety (USHSI) inspection was conducted on 01/31/2024. There were 4 children (9 points) present with the vendor.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. There were no medication on site today. A total of 4 child records, Vendor's record, and 2 household records were reviewed to ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Description: *REPEAT VIOLATION*
Based on documentation review, the vendor did not maintain a current record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.
Evidence:
1) At the time of entrance, 4 children were in care with the vendor. The attendance record had documented that only 2 children were in care. Child #3 and Child #4 attendance was not recorded.
