This annual subsidy inspection was conducted by the inspector using an alternate remote protocol necessary due to a state of emergency declared by the Governor of Virginia in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Preliminary data was obtained from the vendor on February 4, 2021.
-An annual subsidy inspection was initiated on February 5 , 2021, at which time the vendor was contacted by video call to initiate the inspection, and concluded on same date. The inspector emailed the vendor a list of items required to complete the inspection.
The vendor reported there were 2 children in care and 2 children living in the home under the age of 12 present with the vendor for a total 8 points. The inspector reviewed both children?s records and the adult/household member records submitted by the vendor to ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for
Child Care programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-410-A-1 Description: Based on interview and record review, it was determined the Vendor did not conduct evacuation drills in the last two months.
Evidence:
1. In discussing drills, Vendor stated concern with exiting the apartment to take kids out with the numbers rising and weather.
2. Drills were not conducted in the last two months.Plan of Correction: Inspector explained the practice is going through the process and offered a way to prepare for exit . Vendor stated she will start back up but also stated she is still holding shelter in place and lockdown drill
